Thank you for your interest in The Dobermann Trust, a Dobermann Rescue. We are a small group of volunteers who operate in the North of England.
We rescue and rehome Dobermann dogs and puppies who can no longer be cared for by their current owners, or in some cases, those who have found themselves abandoned or strayed.
It is our responsibility to provide temporary shelter, food and veterinary treatment for these dogs and to find permanent loving homes for them.
All of our Dobermann rescue dogs are microchipped, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated, and must be neutered.
All potential adopters must meet our minimum criteria and every home is checked to ensure suitability.
When our rescue Dobermanns are placed in a new permanent home we continue to maintain contact with the new owner and offer support whenever needed.
If, for any reason, an owner is unable to keep their Dobermann in future, it must be returned to the rescue in order that we can secure an appropriate home for them once more.
The Trust is a non-profit making rescue organisation which is operated entirely by Dobe-loving volunteers. The volunteers receive no payment for their time, and the Trust is run exclusively by voluntary donations.
All of the donations received are used for the operational expenses of The Trust, primarily veterinary care, food and kennelling for our Dobermanns while they are in our care before they can be rehomed. If you are a UK resident then we can claim the Tax back from these donations if you complete a Gift Aid form (more info on our Donations page).
Volunteering and Fostering in Dobermann Rescue
Dobermann rescue is not just about providing that forever home for the dogs. If you are not in a position to rehome a Doberman dog then there are other ways you can help. We are always looking for volunteers to help with a number of activities including administration, fund raising, helping man stalls at the events we attend, baking, home checks…………..and the list goes on.
We’d also love to hear from you if you think you could be one of our amazing foster homes. Fosters play a vital part in the work we do and we can never have enough homes where we can place our dogs. Not only do foster homes play a vital part in dobermann rescue in helping to keep our kenneling costs down, but more importantly they provide a less stressful environment for our Dobes until the right forever home can be found.
